New Pattern - The Anne Infinity Scarf

The Anne Infinity Scarf

What you’ll need:

8mm hook
Chunky yarn (for this project I used Moda Vera Tarrantino 100g/65m

Abbreviations

Ch = Chain

SL = Slip Stitch (hook through the chain, yarn over hook and pull through both loops)

SC = Single Crochet (hook into next stitch, yarn over pull through, yarn over hook and pull through both loops)

DC = Double Crochet (Yarn over hook, hook into single crochet, yarn over hook and pull through. Yarn over hook and pull through two loops, yarn over hook and pull through the last two loops)

The idea of this pattern is that it uses very basic stitches but because you are using arty/chunky yarn you are able to let the yarn do the work. This is for the very beginner and should be easy to follow. Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have a question. Now let’s get started and have a bit of fun, in no time you’ll have yourself a lovely infinity scarf ready for winter.

The Pattern

To begin: Ch 101 and sl to the other end to form a circle. (This first row is very important to ensure you don’t get the work twisted. Fear not if you get it twisted, it will still work)

Row 1: SC into 2nd Ch from the hook and SC to the end, Ch 3 and turn

Row 2: DC into the next SC, DC to the end, Ch 3 and turn

**Repeat Row 2 until you are almost to the end of your ball of wool (make sure you leave enough to do the final row of SC)**

To End: When you reach the last of you rows of DC, Ch 2 and turn, SC to the end and fasten off.

Now all you need to do is weave in your ends and you’re done! How did you go? Please leave a comment with a link to your blog/photo as I’d love to see your work.

Next week I'll have another pattern for you hopefully. I made the Lisa Cowl/Infinity scarf below but it needs some adjustment so I need some more of the same yarn to work on this again. Till then take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
